Eight Trackflashback host Jim Davis

I have to keep track of the spins.

Talk time!

Vinyl and more vinyl! Actually I don't have enough shelves to hold it all properly cataloged. So a lot of it lives in boxes, here,there..everywhere!

Some really good books. "What was the first Rock and Roll Record", great reading. "Honkers and Shouters" is a classic, there is a companion book by Arnold Shaw, "The Rockin' 50's" which is very good also. "Singing Groups" by Jay Warner is a very readable listing of most of the great Group Harmony acts (Doo Wop) from the 40's through the 70's with a several paragraph writeup on each with a discography.

Boy it gets messy at 8 track flashback HQ--the white sheets below to books are old music sheets, one for each show. I've kept all of them since 1996 when the show started

More vinyl, LPs here

More LPs and some 78's!

The 8 track flashback working 45 collection. No Dean Martin in here!

Don't have these on CD yet, so I play 'em off vinyl.

But they are starting to get dubbed, turntable to computer

One of the first two LPs I ever bought, around spring of 1963, also two LP cases from around 1973 when I started doing oldies on WTIK.

He's such a nice clean cut looking young man...but check out Larry's tie!
